Meet the Teacher… James

James studied at Tring Park School for the Performing Arts where he became Head Boy and most recently trained at Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Throughout his training and career, James has had the opportunity to work with some of the industry’s leading professionals in voice, text, acting technique and movement. Alongside his work as a professional actor, James has extensive experience of teaching drama within schools. He has previously worked closely with the Royal Shakespeare Company and passionately incorporates many of the ideas he has learned from training and professional work to his LAMDA classes.

Favourite Poets: Rudyard Kipling and T. S. Eliot

Favourite children’s books: The Twits by Roald Dahl, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone by J.K. Rowling and The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis

First Dramatic Moment: I was standing on my primary school stage, reciting a poem in front of the entire school and the sheer happiness and buzz I experienced was the first time I knew this is the career I wanted to pursue.
